PROJECT FOCUS

Young Naija Filmmakers’ Hub (YNFH) is an initiative of Coded TV aim to create platforms for Young Nigerian Filmmakers to tell good stories (Short film production) that will have positive impacts on Nigeria at large. In the millennial, media has become the power to sway and influence public opinion and if used positively, can create a massive productive society.

PRODUCE YOUR FILM

First Young Naija Filmmaker Hub’s Projects will commence film shoot across Nigeria major cities from June 2020, to shoot 36 different short films that capture meaningful stories that will be shared by youth, communities, and experts who are working on building landscape solutions that will preserve our culture and create a positive image for Nigeria all over the globe.

In the millennial, media has become the power to sway and influence public opinion and if used positively that create a massive productive society.

Nigeria’s culture is rich and highly authentic but our neglect and nonchalant act as berated us to a level where will allow foreign culture vices to dilute the potency of moral and standard that our culture and tradition stand for. In view of this, we have formed a group of young Nigerians called Young Naija Filmmakers Hub (YNFH) whose aim is to use media as a tool to sensitize and raise a new narrative that will disperse all ills that bad influence of foreign culture has brought on us as a society.

The major focus of this group work is to preserve Nigeria’s culture and heritage using our story to inspire millions of people globally to fall in love with Nigeria’s culture and good tradition.

Purpose:

    • To promote Nigeria ethnicity diversity
    • To tell Nigeria great story of our culture and heritage
    • To preserve our culture and teach the modern Nigeria children the beauty of our culture
    • To create opportunities for young filmmakers to shoot their creative story at no cost
    • To create a high-quality film, all the way from collecting the footage to editing, production to the output in digital media

Requirements to join YNFH:

  • Financial implication is a one off registration fee of N5,000 (Five thousand naira) and a monthly dues of N1,000 (One thousand naira only) every month.
  • Must be between 16 and 40 years of age; (proof of identification will be required)
  • Must be a creative individual who is passionate about sustainable development, landscapes, and people, as well as holistic ways to make positive impacts in Nigeria using film as a tool for public engagement
  • Must tell a story with Nigeria culture context embedded in the story-line
