Setting up a new kitchen could be a daunting task for some people. This is why, today we’ll be talking about the basic must haves for your kitchen. These kitchen necessities are grouped into three. They are Utensils, Cookware, and Tools.

UTENSILS

1. Knives
A set of knives is one of the most important things to have in a kitchen. It is general knowledge that some food items are cut before cooking and here the knives come in handy. Also, a Chef’s Knive, a multipurpose knive can be useful for all cuttings, choppings, slicings, and even mincing.

2. Spoons
Spoons are a great necessity for measuring and even scooping. They come in different shapes and sizes and are used for a variety of things.

3. Whisk
A whisk can be used for emulsifying ingredients and also for stirring eggs. Though it doesn’t come in handy, it totally serves it’s purpose.

COOKWARE

1. Stockpot
A Stockpot allows for even heating and is perfect for bigger sizes of stews and soups.

2. Non-Stick Fry Pan
A nonstick Fry Pan is a very versatile pan that can be used to fry eggs, pancakes and even sauces. It is worthy of note that non-abrasive tools should not be used with Nonstick pans.

3. Saucepan

A saucepan is used to cook meals with liquid such as boiling pasta, and beans.

Tools.

1. Rolling Pin
A rolling pin is good for flattening crusts for doughs, pies and pizza. It could either come in plastic or wood. Either ways, it works equally well.

2. Can Opener
A can opener is used to open canned goods like beans and vegetables.

3. Chopping Board
A chopping Board as the name implies is used for chopping and slicing and it comes in both plastic and wooden form.

Kitchen tools and equipment are inexhaustible but a few have been enumerated and will go a long way in helping to settle into a new kitchen. Goodluck!
